aProCh a partner in making history in Ahmedabad - First ever intiative when Ahmedabad Traffic Police, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and aProCh partnered to convert C G Raod into a Walkers' Paradise.
Over 5000 people witnessed C G Road without vehicles on a Sunday when families walked freely on the otherwise traffic laden C G Road to enjoy all the festivities and events organised by the trio. Dance, Music, Portrait making, Tattoo making, Games, skating, rappling, police bands and many more activities lined the street.
Outside of a chilly lecture theatre at the Quad, Andrew Keenan (Association President) and Georgina Rannard (Director of Representation) greet their prospective inquisitors. A role which may have been intimidating if not for the absence of said interrogators. Indeed the chilliness is owed in part to the fact that other than my co-questioner and I the room is devoid of human life. Three female students file in, baseball express comfortable and familiar to the Sabbaticals. After postponing and delaying in the vain hope of late arrivals the eight of us begin. In the chairs opposite us sit Phil Pass (Director of Events and Services), Georgina Rannard and the ever-bearded Andrew Keenan. In the audience are all people in some way baseball tickets involved with the Student Union: a secretary of something, an SRC member for the other and the Chair and me.. With the chairlady sitting in the anaemic audience, it’s difficult to tell what’s going on baseball cleats for this session of “Question Time”, but finally I am given to understand that the session has begun. We commence with my question: I’d emailed in beforehand in case there were too many on the night.
